Reflections out of Open-Translation-Tools Conference

You can not imagine how much new stuff I learned about Translation specially the way of bringing the collective intelligence of 80 participant into best way of constructive interaction. The coronation of the collaborative efforts emerged in the manual "OpenTranslationTools". A wonderful gift for every one engaged with Translation. FLOSS Manuals Foundation, who has developed the "book sprint tool" for collaboratively manual writing is one of the event organizer beside Aspiration (better tools for better world) and Translate.org.za.

I am very thankful to become part of the great aspiration-open-translation-community. It was a wonderful feeling to write "Palestine" on the countries list.

Why I was there? I am not translator by profession. I did here and there in the past some volunteering translations. The last one was about meta-currency (user can select Arabic as sub-title), future based topic. As you see the Question of Palestine, made out of me "intuitive" future-researcher and young integral thinker. At a certain point, I have started to think, which boundary conditions we miss in order to achieve social justice, as the world order we know has produced the whole mess and the dominating supporting culture ..

When it comes to communication technology I am also a technologist. I see communication as a organic revolution started with the birth of universe. The main actor in Communication in terms of life, is the "observing-function", which is a basic hint about human emergence (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_brain). The more we connect, the more we observe, pay attention and perceive. Translation is enlarging the space we can be in. Following these associations in depth let us sense that we are the living Self-Aware universe.

I am Not an expert in technology, but I link our future development to technological development. With technology help, open minded people can look on the world we know from different point of views each second and review interpreting reality. As Palestinian looking for a future in social justice I try to think about future based measures. Thats why i write things like "Palestinian Brain Application".

Because the easiest thing you can change/influence is technology (then the individual, then the group, then the community, then the society, ..) is it important to include the question in the debate about, how it can help us to change reality.

I see our global Palestinian nation as very diverse cultural entity fragmented around the world. But not with the leverage and self-living-development any one of us wish. Part of third and fourth generation of uprooted Palestinian living in the west has lost Arabic as native language. Thats why Translation-Tools and technology is an important topic within future design to feature a living Palestinian entity, what I call "Global Palestine".

Translation-Technology is also important for the idea about Palestinian "Holistic-Green-Business"-Network as integrated ecosystem of production I am advocating in this group. When I think about the realization of this Idea I try to imagine the Palestinian communities 50 years ago, who did the work together and had strong relationships.

Such a project will also attract many global future economists and those willing to Build an emerging Palestine!

Open economics invites people to participate. By using the appropriate technology the language barrier should not be an obstacle to include Palestinian around the world within "the stretched-community" cored by the production community in Palestinian rural areas.

I am trying to explain how to realize that based on "postmodern participatory free economy" and proposing a concept draft for starting "real" work, which will support and help a huge group of our people and could attract professionals for back immigration, for those they can. Kinda of "Empowering and Building Palestine Movement by global eyes" ~
